In 1981 W. de Waal bought his first Corvette.

The Corvette was imported and upon arrival it turned out to be in a deteriorated condition.

This made him decide to restore the car and share it with the Corvette Club. They were impressed by the work of W. de Waal and asked him if he wanted to work on their cars.

After decades of working on various Corvette’s, although H. van Waal did not want it, it was time to slow down.

This is where H. van Waal stepped in, as a little boy he grew up with it. He supported and helped his father where necessary, of course. Not knowing that, over time, he would run the company with full conviction.

Now a few years later it has grown so that it is no longer Autobedrijf van Waal, but together they have become a name in the industry called ‘The Corvette Factory’.
